- Stayed at an all-inclusive resort,
- Went to XCaret and
- saw a pre-Columbian Mayan ball game (minus the sacrifices, which is a positive thing,) and
- Spent some time in Playa del Carmen.
- Experienced the World Cup in a Latin American country.
- Saw Norah Jones in concert. Love her!
- Went stand-up paddle boarding
- Became a fan of Mate
- Learned to make pottery the traditional Mexican way
- Celebrated the Mexican Bicentennial
- Ate goat.
- Survived the MX City airport
- Visited the village of Santa Maria
- Taught in a bilingual classroom
- Ate panza (aka 'stomach.')
- Became efficiant at the 'bucket shower' thanks to Yoloxòchitl and Santa Maria.
- Completed a real translation project.
- Learned a little bit of Mixtec
- Became a great aunt (in case there were any doubts about my greatness.)
- Led a small group entirely in Spanish
- Survived the end of the world (the first one, anyway.)
- Taught using the Montessori method
- Saw the biggest tree in the world, El Árbol del Tule
- Woke up to a white Christmas in Georgia :)

33 in 33
On the eve of my, gulp, 34th birthday, I would like to take a quick look back on the 33 new things I did during my 33rd year of life. Here goes, in no particular order . . .
