Chaos! Panic! Disorder! My Work Here Is Done.

Unfortunately, I can't leave.

See, the Chaos! and Panic! and Disorder! is because there is no gas to be found in western North Carolina. Anywhere. It has become a little crazy. Apparently, somewhere in Asheville, one driver threatened another with a baseball bat. Now, call me crazy, but I don't think gas is anything to go threatening someone with a baseball bat for. Cherry coke shortage? Yes, maybe I would get violent, but gas? Not so much.

I tried to get some pictures at the station in town today that had gas, but couldn't get close enough to get any good ones (the line to the station was .5 mile long.) But, if you are interested, this article will give you a good idea of what's up around here. It has some pictures, too.

Be seeing you . . . maybe . . . one day . . .

I hear they had the same problem in Nashville last weekend, and rumors have caused a bit of a stir around here for the past few days. I, of course, did the irresponsible thing and added to the chaos by topping off. I'm good for a week!!

Btw, our fall break trip has been shortened to two days in NC, so I guess a side trip to Asheville is out of the question. :( I hope when you pass back through here you can stop for a visit??

We missed you today at the retreat. Joli did a fine job reading your letter, but it was not like having you there.

Love and miss you!

PS Your dad and I signed up for Acapulco in 09

I guess it is the lack of a vehicle for over a year that has led to my apathy on this apparent gas shortage that is going on. I've heard rumblings about it but haven't been paying attention. However, I know when my dirty deli doesn't have Cherry Coke, and I would hit someone over the head with a bat.
