June Update Letter

It has been a while since my last update, so I thought it was about time to get one out. At first glance, it seems as though there isn’t much to update. I am still in the United States. I am not in Acapulco as so many of us have prayed that I would be by last winter or this spring. Rather, I am still here. Yet, even so, I am glad.

This past year has brought unique experiences that I never could have planned for myself. I taught everything from pre-school to middle school and moved to Brevard, North Carolina to live and work this spring at Carolina Day School and this summer at Main Street Limited gift shop. I have been blessed with the opportunity to visit with eight churches around the Southeast to share the ministry I will be joining at New Horizon Christian School. I can see God working in so many ways throughout this time, and I do not want anything that needs to happen in my heart or anything that God has for me here to be cut short just so that I might have relief from this time of waiting.

This does not mean that it is easy to wait for His time. While content to be here in the States, I long to begin work in Acapulco. So, I ask that you join me in earnest prayer towards an end of this support-raising phase. I am currently in need of 37% more of my budget, which amounts to $1000/month or $24,000 in one-time gifts. Pray that God would soon accomplish all that needs to be accomplished in my heart and my time here so that I will be able to go.
