An essay carefully written by a 7th grader
"A man named John Locke was an English philosopher who lived in the 1600s where he pretty much formed the basis of the government. John told the government that the people have at least some rights. Those rights are Natural Rights. Rights given to people by God. Natural rights like life, liberty, and property . . .
May I please have some extra credit because it is very hard for me to right about something that doesn’t really interest me. No offence. I would really like some extra credit. That would be great."

yeah, yeah, founding father, blah blah. But did he ever get off the ISLAND??? :D
He gets points for being honest!
Good question, Willa! Maybe the LOST Locke sets up a new government on the Island based on the philosopher Locke's ideas of of natural rights. Hmmmmm...
Pamela, yes, at least he was honest! Maybe I should stop spreading that "honesty is the best policy" nonsense around :)
