Lately, when my students want to tell on someone, I have them write me a letter. It not only helps them with their writing, but also provides me with entertainment and blogging material. Here are a few favorites from this week. Names have been changed to protect the (not so) innocent and spelling has been corrected for reading ease.
Dear Miss M,
Jenny is going to different bathrooms and flushing them and they do not need to be flushed.

Happy Spring Break, Mandy!
hey, you didn't post this by any chance becuz me and your momma were all up in your blogging grill about a new post, eh? hehe:)
so, you have the week off. i will be expecting many new musings during this time, my favorite mountaineer. :)
Reminds me of my old days working in Kindergarten. The letters are a good idea...wish I had thought of that. My eardrums suffered terribly from the little tattlers.
This I remember from Steven, "We ain't got no gas leak in this room. My granny washed my sister's hair in kerosene last night, cause she's got lice." Supposedly, kerosene is supposed to kill the little boogers, but down the road you may need a lung transplant from breathing the fumes.
Well, Meagan and Hannah sure have it out for each other, don't they?
Brilliant classroom strategy, by the way...
Ms. M,
That's a great idea.:) Apparently 'sitting incorrectly' is a big no-no? Cracked me up - can't wait for more.

Love the letters!
Bless Hannah's heart.
She must keep your mailbox busy.
Oh how I enjoy "Tales From the Tattle Box" Have a good spring break!
Kudos on the tattle box...
My class actually had a tattle box when I was in 2nd grade. I only put a tattle into it once. It went a little something like this, "Mrs. Abel, Chad Miller picks his nose and puts his boogers on his desk." While I normally wouldn't tattle on anyone, our teacher made us sit alphabetically according to last name. So who sat next to Miller, that's right, ME!! Yeah, and sometimes he thought it was funny to put them on my desk :( Anyway, after I "tattled", he got in trouble and had to take a washcloth and wash all the tops of the desks everyday for the rest of the year!! HA HA HA, Chad!! :)
HAPPY SPRING BREAK!!!
