It is really dark at 5:15 a.m.
Now that I have to wear grown-up clothes to work everyday, I have to do a lot of laundry.
I don't really enjoy doing laundry.
Cafeteria food isn't really all that bad.
One free ice cream every day is a pretty nice perk.
Kids throw up a lot.
I am more Type A than is healthy for a first grade teacher. Those messy desks are driving me batty.
The Clean Desk Fairy visited my room tonight. I think that might fix those messy desks for a few days. 'Cause first graders *heart* those cool sparkly pencils the Clean Desk Fairy leaves.

Yeah, try being a "Type A want everything to be in its place" with two young boys living in your home.
I feel for ya on the wearing real clothes everyday. That's a bummer.
This is great! Are you enjoying it?

I guess every job has it's hazzards. Here I worry about getting bit by a shark or barracuda, speared bill fish, or hooks in my body. I'll not trade you for jobs the world.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! So funny, and great to hear this update. I saw that you called last week. I feel bad that I haven't called you back, but every time I think of it, you're...well...AT SCHOOL!
WOW 0515 . . yes, it has been dark at that time in the morning for me the last 25 years !! <3 but hey - - I can relate to the Type A stuff . . esp when my last test had me as an Type A ++ personality !! Get those pencils straight and perpendicular to the edge of the desk !! Good luck with your new job. . . need a Appletini ??
i'm so type A that when i leave my desk every evening people think i'm quitting b/c it's so neat & clean. slobs, i tell ya! slobs!
I have to wonder if EVERYONE here is really type A (unlikely) or do we just ALL not enjoy kids messing up our lives (much more likely)???
I doubt I'm type A, but I hate it when Patrick messes with my stuff and Ben pulls all the peat moss out of the base of my artificial plants...
Your dad is definitely not a type A (Splenda wrappers on the counter), so maybe that is from my gene pool. As for kids throwing up...it does get pretty messy, but I will take that over head lice any day (or as Michelle used to call them "head lights".:}
Oh, Becky....I too have the moss spread around the base of my trees. I attempt to put it back in there. I vacuum it. I curse it.
Your brother takes after his father then 'cause that man can NOT pick up around the kitchen either. No really, I'm sure of it. Maybe Type A's need to be married to Type B's to balance it all out. (Yet Joe IS Type A about the lawn and his job.)
By the way, Mandy cleaning up throw up? I'm impressed dear sister-in-law!
Oh, no, I don't clean up the throw-up. I just keep the kids out of the way, send the puker to the nurse, and let the wonderful custodian sprinkle that stuff on the barf. He is on of my favorite people in the world right now! Poor guy, he deserves a prize. Wonder if he would want a sparkly pencil?
