One Book That . . .

Tagged by my Acapulco sister, so I must comply:

. . .changed my life?
the Bible.

. . .I've read more than once?
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. Makes me remember those days of just being a kid chasing a talking rabbit.

. . .I would want with me on a deserted island?
The SAS Survival Handbook: How to Survive in the Wild, In Any Climate, On Land or at Sea by John Wiseman.

. . .made me laugh?
Any collection of Calvin and Hobbes comic strips. I. love. Calvin.

. . .made me cry?
My last attempt at Crime and Punishment had me in tears, but I don't think that is what this question is getting at. Let's see...Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Don't laugh at me! I was sad for Dumbledore. Seriously, I haven't read that much fiction lately, and Masters of Chaos: The Secret History of the Special Forces or The Maker's Diet: The 40-Day Health Experience That Will Change Your Life Forever just doesn't really evoke tears.

. . .I wish had been written?
Decision Making Made Easy: Mandy's Personal Edition by God

. . .I wish had never been written?
Confessions of an Heiress by Paris Hilton.

. . .I am currently reading?
The Westminster Confession of Faith.

. . .I've been meaning to read?
Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky. I believe that if it is a classic, there has to be some worth in reading it, regardless of what my former roommate says and my past half-hearted attempts.

Oooh, the Secret History of the Special Forces sounds good. and amen to paris. Like any of us believe she can write a complete sentence by herself anyway.

I almost picked the SAS book for mine, too. As for Dostoyevsky, in AP English (12th grade) we had the entire summer to read that book. I procrastinated until the day before school started. You knew there was going to be a quiz on the first day, too. I read it straight through in sixteen and a half hours. Now that is some serious punishment!

Okay, I did mine. I used to read ALL THE TIME and didn't realize how I'd slacked off until now. :( My dad would take me to the library when I was little and I'd check out about 8 books at a time, then have 'em turned in before they were due to get more.

Why am I not surprised by any of your answers?? You always read so much, it was hard to keep up with what you were reading, but I would have guessed the Little House series for a book/books read more than once.

Come on - - knowing your brother is a Master of Chaos doesn't bring a tear to your eye?
