If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
If I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there Your hand will guide me.

A Fly
A fly just buzzed by my head, landed on my desk, rolled over on its back, and is now in the throws of a long-drawn-out-death. If I squish it, would it be considered assisted suicide?
They only live a day, so there's not too much time to think about it!
If you killed it (or a mosquito or a bee) for no reason, it would be murder, but who cares in the animal kingdom? That's life. So quit thinking ethics and SQUISH AWAY!
Well, just to update you all...as I was inspecting the fly up close, it gathered up enough strength to fly straight into my face. So, I smacked it to the floor and ended its misery.

I think it would be considered putting it out of its misery...poor little fly.

There. My philosophical thoughts for the day.
Maybe it's just a cry out for attention.
Not if the fly has a living will.:)

I told you he wanted your attention.
