My new pet peeve is a cryptic document namer. Why is it that some people feel that Microsoft only allows them 3 letters and 3 numbers in a document name? I recently took over a job and received a disk of files that should have made my life easier. Today I spent the day sifting through epa_11_04 and dc_05_06 and sc_ph_04 trying to find a Day Camp Manual. Now how difficult would it have been to name that document DayCampManual? So you know what I did after I found it? I renamed it. DayCampManual. Tomorrow I won't have to spend 2 hours looking for it either. So, cryptic document namers, beware! I'm on to you! And I plan to rename your files as soon as I get a chance.
