Temblor

Today was an earthquake-y kind of day.  After this first one (which has been downgraded to a 7.4), there have been 8 aftershocks ranging from 4.6 to 5.3.  I am so thankful that no damage has been done, and as far as I know no one has been hurt.

Every time I feel an earthquake or hear of a natural disaster in other parts of the world, I am reminded of Psalm 46.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though the mountains tremble at its swelling . . .  Be still and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. (Psalm 46: 1-3, 10 ESV)
