Día de la Constitución

Happy Groundhog Day (I predict we will have summer-like temperatures here in Acapulco, although I am not sure what the groundhog saw) and Happy Constitution Day (in Mexico.) To celebrate the Mexican constitution, we had today off. Below are links to picture albums from the long weekend.
Casa Hogar
Casa Hogar has had a work team here from Hixon this past week, so I kicked off the weekend enjoying Fiesta night on Friday.
Pie de la Cuesta
Then today (Monday) I went with several other teachers to Pie de la Cuesta, a long, narrow beach with the Pacific on one side and a lagoon on the other. Absolutely beautiful!

I am sad Cristian is no longer at Casa Hogar. Looks like a fun time...the cake looks especially good. Beach is beautiful.

You look so happy and healthy in those beach pics...I'd be making one of them my FB pic if I were you! Looks beautiful, but I am a little confused by some of the pics...are the picnic tables underwater in one of them? And in the pic of you standing behind the table, what is on your feet? I must be tired, I feel like I hallucinated those two images...

You aren't hallucinating! The tables were in the shallow water, so you sit and eat up to your ankles. A built-in air conditioning system, if you will. And the one of me behind the table...I think I was actually kneeling on the bench, so what you are seeing is a reflection in the water? I know, it looks weird.

It is 33 degrees here today (at 1:21 pm). I WANT the beach! I WANT warm weather. It is so cold.
