August Update

I thank you so much for your prayers, support and encouragement over these last few years as I have journeyed through the application and support raising process that begins the adventure of serving at New Horizon Christian School in Acapulco. I am ever reminded that it is not me as an individual going to minister, but we as a body going to minister--I am just the one who gets to live there!

We are ever closer, closer, closer! After a meeting with MTW yesterday, a target date has been set for me to be in Mexico the end of November. I will spend December in Language School, then settle in Acapulco over the New Year. New Horizon has a national teacher working with the school through December, but I will need to be ready to take over for her in January, as she is moving to Monterrey over Christmas break.

There are several things that need to happen in order for me to be ready to leave on this date, and I ask your help.

First, please pray for my preparation and final months here in the States. I will continue living in Brevard, NC over the next few months, then head back to Georgia in November. Please pray for my time here in North Carolina, and for smooth transitions to Georgia, then to Mexico.

Second, please pray for the last of my financial needs to be raised. My budget has been altered slightly because of the rising costs of airfare, shipping, and cost of living. I need 30 people willing to support me at $35 per month. Please pray that these support members will be brought quickly to the team so I can leave on time. If you are unable to support me yourself, but know of a church or individual who would like to be involved, please pass on my information to them, or email me with the name of who I should contact.

Finally, please pray for New Horizon as they begin their new school year. The school still needs about 15 more students to be enrolled in order to meet their budget for the year. Please pray for the students and for the teachers as they begin their year.

I so appreciate your prayers and support as I get closer to having everything in order so that I can serve where God has called me. Please keep in touch, and let me know how I can be praying for you.

By His Grace,
Mandy
