My mom gave me my "lifetime" of ornaments when I got married. It was great to have them to put on our first tree together. I know what you mean. The ones that carry sentiment are the prettiest ones in your eyes.
So, you switched to beta. What's that like? Should I go ahead and do it?
YES! Pictures uploaded SO fast, and publishing the post was super quick. It takes some time for Blogger to move everything to Beta, but it is worth it.
We Three Trees of Orient are (made in China). Bearing ornaments collected from afar... I remember that little angel and the day I purchased it. It came from a department store in our town that is no longer in business. The store carried everything from china and silver to tennis shoes. I wanted you to have a special ornament for your first Christmas, and one that said, "Baby's First Christmas". They didn't have one, so the sales lady brought out the angel and I knew that was the one I wanted for you. Glad you still treasure it! Love,
I buy each of the boys a new ornament every year so they'll have their own collection when they start a family tree. I did a handprint/footprint handpainted pottery ornament for each of them that reads, "Gage's/ Logan's First Christmas" and I painted some mistletoe on it. I try not to get too attached to them though because I just know they'll end up in shattered pieces one day!! I don't put those on the tree; they have a special iron ornament hanger and they are on our mantel.
Awww. Mrs. Mary, was the dept. store the old T, G & Y? I remember going there with my grandmother before K mart and others and before we officially moved to L.; back when we were still in Bwk. How cool. Brunswick

This ornament is cute and all, but WE WANNA SEE THE LOBSTERS!
My guess would be Abney's or The Boston Store.
The store was Abney's. They had a great gift dept.
I never knew the story behind that ornament! Thanks, Mom!
